Getting recruited to play college baseball takes a lot of hard work to keep up grades and continue to excel at the game.
Many players believe, "If I’m good enough, coaches will find me, and I’ll get recruited."
However, the reality is that student-athletes need to take control of their college baseball recruiting process in order to find the best fit for them athletically and academically.
Playing baseball at the college level is extremely competitive. There are almost 500,000 high school baseball players in the United States and just over 52,000 college players. That means less than 10% of high school players will go on to compete at the college level. Less than 2% will go on to play at the NCAA Division 1 level.
We are not saying this to discourage anyone from fulfilling their goal of playing college baseball. But we do want to stress the importance of being proactive and not procrastinating when it comes to managing your recruiting process and pushing yourself to get better every day.
It is also important to understand that everyone’s recruiting journey is going to be different. There is not one magic formula that will result in a baseball scholarship but there are several keys steps you can take to put yourself in the best possible position to succeed.
How can we help?
Fortunately, we are focused on positioning our Boys to succeed in their personal recruiting journey. Our workouts are geared toward preparing our players to compete at a high level. Our summer schedules are purposely tailored for maximizing exposure to college coaches. We have partnered with top notch organizations such as PBR to provide Scout Days and third party skills evaluations and Bright Athlete Performance for in-season and off-season strength and agility training.
Lastly, but most importantly, we have knowledgeable resources at your disposal that can help you on your personal journey.
Paul Gordon
Paul has coached AAU baseball for almost 15 years including in the USA Baseball Development Program, developing a huge network throughout the Northeast and beyond.
Mike Doran

Steve McLoughlin
